Hi Vince; starting an new email thread to work through issues on trunk.
I would personally start by looking at jira to see if a bug of this
nature was fixed on 1.1.x; failing that I would step through the code on
1.1.x and trunk and see where they diverge.
Seems like a pretty confusing bug.
