[udig-devel] osgeo4w-dev and udig and JGrass

Ah I see.  I've been looking for an installer that can be an installer  
for all platforms since on OSX there needs to be an installer that  
installs the newer Image IO implementation.  uDig isn't properly  
useable in OSX without it.  The requirement of the JRE does bother me  
a bit but I think that the tool that make the EXE for windows can  
handle this issue.  Maybe I'm wrong.  What I don't like is the  
situation we have now were we need custom installer code in different  
languages for every platform.

There are lots of tricks we can do to handle the requirement for the  
JRE like webstart or ship the CDs with a jre that is used by the  
installer, etc...
