I have converted the English page names to German, removed the TOC, have fixed all the numerous distorted special characters (hopefully never again), fixed several missing images, referenced English pages where German ones are not yet available and even added a bit of new content:

Wow - just reading over it now. Looks great.

Thanks it makes a great impression, I will export out this space and
include it in the help plugin on Monday.

Fair enough; I tired to only make small pages when we had specific views
/ dialogs / wizards - the reason I did this is because the context
sensitve help will be able to find the "Catalog" page when the user
presses F1 in the "Catalog view". I imagine it will find the larger page
as well; if I was writing the index words that appear in a heading would
get more weight.
When you write a longer page you may find it useful to include a: {toc}
macro near the top; now that this marcro exists I will be making use of
longer pages myself.

You are correct; that page has not been updated; feel free just to add
an entry for each format as you find gaps.

I think it is already there in the concepts page or something; but yes
we should make it available near the description of the world image format.

Sounds good; there were two reasons:
- these docs were started before wikipedia had this sort of content; you
will find I already link to wikipedia in a few examples)
- these docs are all that there is when using uDig offline

Amazing work; thank you very much Matthias. I would like to make an
1.1.RC15 this week and if nothing horrible happens we can rebrand that
as the 1.1.0 release. So the last thing left is a mac osx installer; how
many mac users are around who would find this worthwhile?
