Hi Jody, hi all,
I have a serious problem with the automatic generation of the TOC from the Confluence page structure:
I cannot define the order of child pages within their parent.
As long as I have a page and explicitely link to its children everything is fine, of course. But when I use a macro like
{children:all=true|style=h3}
as for instance on the HOME page, the children are shown in any of the following orders:
- "creation" - Sorted by creation date.
This us USUALLY fine, but not when a page was inserted lated.
- "title" - Sorted by page title
Nice if you use numbers on every page, but how would this look???
And every time I inserted a page I'd have to revise all following
numbers. So this is inacceptable
- "modified" - Sorted by date of last modification
Again, after inserting a page in the middle I'd have to modify all
following pages just for the sake of correct ordering. Please not!
Anyway, this does not explain how YOU sort the pages for the TOC.
Any help or explaination is appreciated.
If you know how to correct this, please do the HOME page as an example. Currently some pages of the basic tutorial are on the wrong position, such as "Der Arbeitsplatz" (should be first) or "Den Arbeitsplatz verlassen" (should be the last)
