[udig-devel] Quickstart doesn't work for me & German translation update

Hi uDiggers,

I've started to translate the Quickstart to German, as Jody kindly requested. While I am doing so, I found out that I cannot load .jpg images with uDIG RC13 or RC14 (havn't tested older versions).
All that I get when dragging the clouds.jpg file onto the map is a second layer labelled "countries".
Even if I clear the map and the Catalog and drag a jpg onto the map it always adds a layer "countries".Gefühl

When I do this with a "freshly" started uDig I get an error "Could not identify service" or something like that.

I've sent you a logfile via uDig's function.

My environment:
WinXP SP2, German computer, JRE1.6.0_02
