Jesse,
I am viewing good 'ol shapefiles, one's i've viewed a hundred time
before without incident. The closer I zoom, the more the left side
cuts off. It's like an upside down tall triangle, or what would be
50% of it's right side. It seems any shapes that are not entirely on-
screen, are instead not displayed.

i had loaded the same file, but an older one from a few months back,
to see if it was the file. as you can see, it's not.
