1.
I know the source of one problem:
I told you I removed all temporary folders in order to simulate a "fresh" computer with no uDig previously installed.
However uDig11RC13 expects a directory
  C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Matthias Basler\My Documents\uDig
on my PC and fails to start if it doesn't exist.
Must the directory given as "-data" argument in the command line already exist?

2.
Next thing is, the link in the start menu doesn't work.
It has a "-noop" at the end. If I remove this, uDig starts

Now the intro comes up, but closing it with "Go to workbench" gives the next error:
NullPointerException

I LOVE NullPointerExceptions!!!

Log is attached, again.

Then I tried loading data, three test shapefiles as usual: "cities", "bc_voting_areas" and "bc_border", using the add layer wizard. After selecting the three the wizard took forever loading. I had to cancel it after two minutes.

Looks like something is gone very wrong.

Have fun. ;-)
