Hi Udiggers (probably this is more direct for Axios :)),
we are slowly resuming our work on the raster mapcalculator. There is
an Italian page for it online:

I think the images don't need to much explanations. It is a tool in
which you can make arithmentic operations with raster maps as if they
were scalars. The calculus is then executed pixel by pixel on the
whole raster. This is IMHO one of the most important raster tools.

Is there some sort of plan to do this also for feature data? With
rasters there are memory issues, but all in all it is fairly easy once
you have an equation parser.
Is there any thought done on vectors? I can imagine that the work done
by Axios would be a great ground to start with.
