Yes, 

The advanced graphics on linux bug has been resolved in Eclipse and that
will trickle down to uDig when uDig moves to a newer version of Eclipse.
It's not a priority right now for the uDig crew so we Gnu folk get to
suffer the macho suffering of freedom. :-)
