I found it from the Walkthough 1 page ... really it is part of the 
Online Help - which you only see after you have uDig installed with 
Browser support (go figure).

If their is enough interest/content we should break out a seperate Linux FAQ

I am not on Linux :-) My impression is that *yes* there is a reason (and 
some of the latest Linux distributions confused the matter with their 
own private fork of Firefox).

This situation should change when we have a moment to upgrade to a 
Eclipse 3.3 core.

Yes it is a command line option - let me check (and add it to that 
page). done.
