Thanks for such a quick response!
But I mean there is no "Information view" as Walkthrough 1 shows
on its page 29. And there is no information view among the choices
in the menu appearing when I choose Show View from the Windows menu.
Is this really related to the browser integration problem?

Does Eclipse have its own preferences file?
I modified my .profile to add
export MOZILLA_HOME=/usr/lib/firefox
export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/firefox
and also did
$ su
# cd /usr/lib/firefox
# ln -s firefox mozilla
Now I get log entries like this:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.ui 4 0 2007-05-01 15:17:28.307
!MESSAGE XPCOM error -2147221164
!STACK 0
org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: XPCOM error -2147221164
at org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser.error(Browser.java:1328) [more...]
I'm at a loss. Is Firefox incompatible with Eclipse?

Worked like a charm. Thanks!

I guessed this might be on the to-do list. For now I can use your
SLDs as models and generate appropriate SLDs.
