[udig-devel] How to debug uDig in eclipse?

Hello uDig developers,

I just downloaded and configured the SDK
(udig-1.1.RC10-src.win32.win32.x86.zip) to run as a eclipse
application like told in the quickstart manual
(http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/DEV/0+SDK+Quickstart)
I now have a question which may be a bit trivial, but I didn't figure
out how to do this:

How can I track the flow of control in uDig, using breakpoints etc.?
Do I have to set up a project first? I didn't want to write a plugin,
I just want to see what is going on, since I have a WFS server
running and uDig recognizes it, but does not display anything. So to
get the cause of this I wanted to use the SDK to see where the GML is
going and what happens so that it can not be displayed. So if I
had to create a project, what kind of project should it be and how do
I still get uDig run and not only my project (since I want to debug
uDig and not a newly created project)?

Would be great if you could help me.

Best regards,

Peter.
