Exporting a basic SLD with just fill and line set does export a full page long document with useless information (title/abstract) and full of values that are simple SLD defaults (max scale, line cap, line join, stroke opacity, width). 
It's probaly the gt2 SLD encoder as well, yet it's a annoying because it cripples the relation between what I set and what I find in the SLD (cause/effect).
