[udig-devel] 3D Display with uDig?

Not yet; we have looked into technologies that are compatible with the 
Eclipse RCP platform uDig runs in.

There is nothing preventing you from starting the work; the uDig 
Project/Map/Layers is simply a data structure and the existing renderer
can be used as is (to render onto a texture), or to generate line work ...

The recent SoC project here may also be of interest - showing the 
intergration of a rendering system and JMonkey:
