Paul,

I'm revamping OpenJUMP's "DataSource" code to include a graphical
catalog of datasources from which layers can be created. It will be
based on a JTree, where the user can manage the Data Source, its
Connection, Properties, and Metadata. I'm not very familiar with
UDig's catalog system, but would be happy to share thoughts on the
basic layout of the catalog's GUI if UDiggers are going to be
changing/improving things.

Just a thought. :]
