[udig-devel] GeoSelectionService - short proposal

Good Morning/day !

Here is a short description of basic of GeoSelectionService and its
architecture, use cases. Very briefly. The semantic comes from the source
code and follows service/manager/provider/listener paradigms.

udig/community/vitalus/org.arbonaut.udig.geoselection is a repository path.

It contains starting implementation and quickly modified selection tools to
demonstrate and test the behavior.

I think what is called "GeoSelectionService" is a missing part of UDIG as a
platform that helps to solve the range of problems of interaction of modal
tools, UI components and other units in UDIG.

The possible road map:
-Create an API and basic implementation
-Refactoring and merging to trunk
-Step by step migrating to GeoSelectionService for geographical objects
selection.
