I believe "difference" tool was included in a previous release but 
development was stopped due to time - perhaps you could pick it up?
If you look at some of the older 1.1 releases you will see it mentioned ...

Here is a link in "What's new" :-) apparently it has not been removed 
from the doc yet... you can see it listed.
