LGPL library or applications are available for use in commercial
applications, we do ask that if you fix anything you send the fixes home
to us (if not you just need to refix next time we make a release). The
uDig applicatoin in this context does work like a library, it is simply
the framework you are using to construct your own application.
Please note that a uDig based application uses a number of licenses:
- there is code from eclipse.org
- there is LGPL code from the uDig GIS Platform and GIS Application
- there is LGPL code from the GeoTools library
- and so on...
