Hard call, we struggled to balance this one earlier while still 
following the layout of a normal eclipse project.

Sorry I do not see that, checking out uDig is useless - checking out 
trunk is what is needed....

You could drag out the community folder to be a peer of uDig, downside 
is versioning for the update site.

What if we made "community" the base, and one of the community projects 
was uDig...
