[udig-devel] Eclipse extension points

For uDig 1.1, the ApplicationGIS class is the place to get the uDig  
data.  It is similar in functionality to the Platform and PlatformUI  
in Eclipse.  So you can get the current map/project.  It allows you  
to open maps add layers to maps etc...
