I haven't tested the Geotools MIF plugin so I don't know how
functional it is. But that doesn't mean a uDig plugin can't be built
for it, it is an excellent way to show what still needs to be done :-P.
I think Cory wrote up a tutorial that will help with this Job.
Otherwise the GML Datastore plugin is most likely a good template for
learning how to create a Catalog Plugin for uDig.
